Boat Tour

A one-way, one-day trip from Rajahmundry (Rajamahendravaram) to Bhadrachalam along the Godavari, through the Papikondalu gorge. It starts every day at 7 AM.
Places on the way: Pattiseema, the Polavaram project, the Gandi Pochamma temple, the Papi Hills and the Perantapalli temple. At the Perantapalli temple you change from the AC boat to a non-AC boat for the one-hour run to Pochavaram, then the operator's vehicles (Tata Magic only) take you by road to the Bhadrachalam temple. Breakfast and a vegetarian lunch are served on the boat.
Itinerary
7:00 AM - Departure from Rajahmundry (Rajamahendravaram).
- Cruise past the Polavaram project site, the Gandi Pochamma temple and the Papikondalu hills to the Perantapalli temple; breakfast and vegetarian lunch on the boat.
3:00 PM - Change from the AC boat to a non-AC boat at the Perantapalli temple.
- Non-AC boat from Perantapalli to Pochavaram (about 1 hour).
- Road journey from Pochavaram to the Bhadrachalam temple (about 2 hours) in the operator's Tata Magic vehicles.
7:00 PM - Arrive at the Bhadrachalam temple (darshan closes at 9:00 PM).
